Bastardo's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

21-year old center Raymon Bastardo (202-C-2002) had an amazing evening in the last round for Quimsa Santiago del Estero and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 19 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Riachuelo LR (#6, 14-7) 73-69. Quimsa moved-up to the 14th position in Argentinian league. Quimsa is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 9th lost game this season out of 16 games. Bastardo turned to be Quimsa's top player in his first season with the team. Bastardo has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 13.9rpg. Bastardo is in league's top in and averages solid 2.8bpg,2.2spg and 60.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kelvin Ramirez (204-C/F-2002) of Obera Tennis Club. He is a in his second season at Obera. In the last game Ramirez recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Obera was edged by the higher-ranked Ferro (#5, 15-7) 89-87. This loss caused Obera to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ramirez is well-known at Obera and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#7). He also registered 9.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jeremias Barco (G-2005) of Riachuelo de La Rioja (#6). Barco got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . He was a key player of Riachuelo, leading his team to a 107-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Olimpico (#20, 1-17). Riachuelo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 7 lost games. Barco has a very solid season.
