Argentinian LDD round 22 best performance: Geronimo Ramallo (by Hoops Agents)

Geronimo Ramallo put on an amazing game in the last round for San Martin Corrientes, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The player had a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Regatas (#16, 7-14) 74-72. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. San Martin is placed at 19th position in Argentinian LDD. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 18 games and recorded just two victories. Ramallo turned to be San Martin's top player in his first season with the team. Geronimo Ramallo averages this season 16.5ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Franco Gimenez) of La Union Formosa. Gimenez had a very good evening with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as La Union lost that game 81-94 to the higher-ranked Platense (#10, 9-11). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. La Union dropped in the standings to 15th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-10 record. Gimenez is well-known at La Union and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#4). He also registered 6.2 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-F-2004) of Penarol Mar del Plata (#17). Chiaraviglio scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Chiaraviglio's great performance the Penarol lost 64-80 to the higher-ranked Comunicaciones (#8, 12-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Penarol not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Chiaraviglio could try to bring Penarol's a little bit higher in the standings. Chiaraviglio has individually a great season in Argentina. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.4ppg (best scorer).
