Rodrigo Acuna claims Argentinian La Liga Argentina Hoops Agents weekly honour

Rodrigo Acuna (198-PF-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Quilmes Mar del Plata and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 35.
The 28-year old power forward had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out GELP (#14, 9-15) 86-85. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings in Conferencia Sur. Quilmes MP is placed at 9th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Quilmes MP is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-12 record. His team's 15-7 record is not bad at all. Saez is a newcomer at Pico FC and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Augusto Bruera (196-F-1998, agency: BIG) of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (#14). Bruera scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Bruera's great performance the GELP lost 85-86 to the higher-ranked Quilmes MP (#9, 11-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of GELP not to end season at such low position in Conferencia Sur, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bruera could try to bring GELP's a little bit higher in the standings. Bruera has a very solid season. In 24 games in Argentina he scored 9.9ppg. He also has 6.2rpg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 53.0%.
