Ramallo's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Geronimo Ramallo had a great game in the last round for San Martin Corrientes and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Riachuelo LR (#6, 15-8) 75-68. San Martin is placed at 19th position in Argentinian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 18 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Ramallo had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be San Martin's top player in his first season with the team. Geronimo Ramallo averages this season 17.6ppg and 8.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Diego Collomb (192-G/F-2004) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero. He is a swingman in his first season at Quimsa. In the last game Collomb recorded an impressive 30 points and 5 assists. Of course he led Quimsa to another comfortable win 86-67 over slightly lower-ranked San Lorenzo (#13, 8-13) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Quimsa keeps 12th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-10 record. Collomb is a newcomer at Quimsa and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Santino Mazzucchelli of Club Atletico Platense Florida (#11). Mazzucchelli showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Mazzucchelli's great performance the Platense lost 65-68 to the higher-ranked Obera (#8, 13-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Platense ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mazzucchelli could help Platense to bring them higher in the standings. Mazzucchelli has a great season in Argentina. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 9.5rpg (8th best).
