Argentinian La Liga Argentina round 40 best performance: Felipe Bonfigli (by Hoops Agents)

Felipe Bonfigli had a very impressive game in the last round for Pico Football Club de General Pico, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 40.
The player had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Racing A. (#12, 10-5) 81-69. Pico FC is placed at 4th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Pico FC will need more victories to improve their 16-7 record. It's Bonfigli's second year at Pico FC and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Felipe Bonfigli averages this season 10.8ppg and 7.2rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Ecuadorian Johu Castillo (199-F-1999) of Independiente BBC de Santiago del Estero. Castillo had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Independiente cruised to a 75-64 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Amancay (#11, 10-12). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in Conferencia Norte. But Independiente managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-13 record. Castillo is a newcomer at Independiente and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Matias Nunez (202-F/C-1995) of Racing Club Avellaneda (#12). Nunez scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Nunez's great performance the Racing A. lost 69-81 to the higher-ranked Pico FC (#4, 16-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Nunez has a very solid season. In 27 games in Argentina he scored 15.1ppg.

10. Dishon Lowery (200-C-1998) of Pilar - 11 points and 15 rebounds
