Arn's 18 points and 8 rebounds give him Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award

34-year old power forward Lucas Arn (197-PF-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Atenas Cordoba and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 42.
He had the game-high 18 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Atenas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Suardi (#3, 16-9) 81-75. Atenas maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Atenas will need more victories to improve their 18-6 record. Arn turned to be Atenas' top player in his first season with the team. Arn has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.4ppg) and averages solid 58.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was German Frencia (202-C-1988) of La Union Colon. He is a center in his 3rd season at La Union. In the last game Frencia recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Of course La Union cruised to a 84-72 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked H.Americano (#10, 13-15). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in Conferencia Sur. But La Union managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 13-14 record. Frencia is one of the most experienced players at La Union and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Atenas' star - forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-F/C-1997). Oberto scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Oberto's great performance the Atenas Cordoba lost 79-86 to #1 ranked San Isidro. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Atenas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Conferencia Norte. Their record is 18 victories and 6 lost games. Oberto has a very solid season. In 24 games in Argentina he scored 12.1ppg. He also has 7.5rpg and a FGP of 61.4%.
