Amir Warnock returns to Argentina, signs with GELP

Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata has added Center Amir Warnock (206-F/C-1995, college: KWC) for the rest of the current Liga Argentina season.

This will be the return to Argentina for Amir since he last played in 2019-2020 season in Ciclsta Juninense with averages of 16.4 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 0.8 apg. After that he has played in Spain, USA (TBL) France, Ecuador and his last season played in 2023 in Nicaragua's LSB in Brumas de Jinotega averaging 14.6 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 2.3 apg.

Gimnasia has suffered the injury of their starting Center Santiago Bruera (206-F/C-1998, college: FAU, agency: BIG) who was also their top scorer on the season, so they are now looking to add someone experienced in South America already, and this makes a great opportunity for the American Center Amir Warnock, since he was not able to return to Argentina after mid season break back in 2020 because of the covid breakout started.
