Agustin Perez claims Argentinian La Liga Hoops Agents weekly honour

International Guard Agustin Perez (192-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for San Martin Corrientes and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds for San Martin in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Quimsa (#1, 22-3) 86-84. San Martin maintains the 9th position in Argentinian La Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. San Martin will need more victories to improve their 15-12 record. In the team's last game Perez had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be San Martin's top player in his first season with the team. Perez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 2.1apg) and averages solid 58.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Wayne Langston (200-F-1993) of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires. Langston impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Boca was edged by the lower-ranked La Union (#19, 7-19) 83-81. Boca managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 15-11 record is not bad and everything may still change. Langston is a newcomer at Boca and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Lucas Andujar (185-PG-1996) of Zarate Basket Independiente (#13). Andujar showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Zarate, leading his team to a 86-77 win against the lower-ranked Union SF (#20, 6-22). Andujar has a great season in Argentina. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 7.0apg (best passer). He also has 2.1spg and a FGP of 60.8%.
