Very important is a road loss of second ranked Olimpico (21-7) against fourteenth ranked Independ.O. (12-15) on Tuesday night. Visiting Olimpico was defeated by Independ.O. in a tough game in Olivia 84-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Olimpico. Joaquin Noblega nailed 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Nick Banyard came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Olimpico in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Independ.O. moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Olimpico keeps the second position with seven games lost. Independ.O. will meet higher ranked Obras (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpico will play against Union (#20) in Santa Fe and hope to secure a win.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 33: Quimsa beat Regatas on the road 90-86. Obras won against Comunicaciones on its own court 100-91. La Union unfortunately lost to San Martin in Corrientes 58-69. San Lorenzo managed to beat Comunicaciones at home 92-86. Instituto was defeated by Gimnasia on the opponent's court 83-71. Ferro was beaten by Boca in a home game 69-70. Bottom-ranked Union lost to Argentino on the road 75-79.
