Platense made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Platense outrebounded Obras 35-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Sebastian Morales (202-1988) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). It was a great evening for point guard Andres Jaime (184-2000) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 assists. Guard Franco Vieta (194-1992) helped adding 18 points. Four Regatas players scored in double figures. Regatas' coach Fernando Calvi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) with 20 points and 5 assists and the other American import center Gerard De Vaughn (205-1988, college: Stillman) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds.

American forward Diamon Simpson (204-1987, college: SMC) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Rolando Vallejos (195-2000) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Agustin Perez (192-1999) added 11 points respectively for San Martin in the defeat.
