San Martin Corrientes (La Liga) added 30-year-old Argentinian shooting guard Jorge Banegas (190cm-1993, agency: BIG) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. Banegas played last season at Liga Deportiva Univ in the Ecuadorian National League. During his time at Independiente de Oliva in the Argentinian La Liga, he averaged 13.3ppg, 3.2rpg, and 1.3apg in 38 games, helping them reach the cup final.
Banegas has played ppg for eight other Argentinian teams: Lanus, Olimpico, Tiro Federal, Regatas de Concepcion del Uruguay, Argentino Firmat, Club Atletico Villa San Martin, CAO Ceres and Petrolero.
Banegas' team finished as the runner-up in the regular season of the Argentinian La Liga Argentina Conferencia Noreste in 2020.
