Flamengo signs Tayavek Gallizzi, ex Quimsa

Tayavek Gallizzi

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (NBB) signed 31-year old Argentinian international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (206cm-1993) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Gallizzi played last season at Quimsa in Argentinian La Liga. In 47 games he had 10.6ppg and 5.1rpg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. 2023-24 was a great season as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Center of the Year and named to All-Domestic Players Team. Gallizzi also played 11 games in BCL Americas where he recorded 11.8ppg and 4.1rpg.
He won Basketball League Americas championship title in 2024.
The previous (2023) summer he played at Atenas in Uruguayan Metropolitan. In 10 games he averaged 11.9ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.6apg, 1.3spg and 1.2bpg in 2023 year.
He has been also a member of Argentinian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Argentinian senior team since 2014 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2011.
Gallizzi represented Argentina at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) last year. His team won Gold.
He has played also professionally for other Argentinian teams like Quilmes Mar del Plata, La Union, Instituto and Villa Angela. Gallizzi won Basketball League Americas championship title in 2024.
