La Union Formosa (La Liga) agreed terms with 27-year-old American power forward De'Marco Owens (203cm-110kg-1996, college: Montevallo) for the new 2024-25 season. He played last season at DaGuys STL (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In only one TBT game recently, he recorded 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist.
He is quite an experienced player. Owens has played professionally in Chile (Concepcion and Castro), Colombia (Condores de Cundinamarca and Bucaros), Paraguay (Olimpia Kings), and Argentina (Estudiantes Olavarria and Platense). His team made it to the Argentinian LNB Torneo Super 20 Semifinals in 2024.
He was voted to Latinbasket.com Argentinian La Liga All-Imports Team in 2023 among many awards.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League (ESL) player, which is considered the top international summer league on the market.
Owens graduated from Montevallo University in 2019 and it'll be his sixth season as a pro player. He also played for Moberly Area Community College for 2 years.
