The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Atenas in Cordoba on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Boca 81-69. Boca outrebounded Atenas 37-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Important game to mention about took place in Comodoro Rivadavia. Obras saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Gimnasia 91-89 on Friday evening. A very close game took place in Buenos Aires between Ferro and Penarol. Ferro got a very close home victory over Penarol. Ferro managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 on Wednesday evening. Ferro's coach Federico Fernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Al Thornton produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for lost side. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: Olimpico was destroyed by Instituto on the opponent's court 99-73. Obras managed to outperform Platense in a home game 94-90. San Lorenzo lost to undefeated Union on the road 63-68. Independ.O. crushed Olimpico on its own court 104-72. Instituto lost to Regatas in Corrientes 77-82. Platense lost to Penarol at home 72-75.
