The Regular Season in La Liga Argentina just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

San Isidro defeated Colon in San Francisco 92-78. San Isidro shot 63.5 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 21 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners and Jeronimo Sune (187-2002, agency: BIG) chipped in 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side guard Federico Gonzalez (183-1988) responded with 15 points and 6 assists. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Uruguayan center Matias Acosta (200-1999) nailed 18 points and 4 steals for the winning side and Matias Rosas accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. Quite upsetting was Montmartre's home defeat in a game versus Villa S.Martin who edged hosts 62-59. Montmartre was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Maximiliano Martin fired 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Heraldo Russo produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Montmartre's coach Eric Rovner rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Villa S.Martin will meet Amancay in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Montmartre will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: La Union lost to Lanus on the opponent's court 58-66. GELP managed to outperform Rocamora in a home game 80-77. Pergamino rolled over Pico FC on the road 77-55. U.Mar del Plata lost to undefeated Dep Viedma on its own court 60-78. Racing Ch. lost to Ciclista in Junin 62-67. Salta Basket lost to Independiente at home 65-83.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points and 5 rebounds by Matias Morera of Independiente.




Jujuy - Independiente 72-74

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Jujuy at the home court. Hosts were edged by Independiente 74-72. It was a great shooting night for Independiente especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Uruguayan center Matias Acosta (200-1999) nailed 18 points and 4 steals for the winning side and Matias Rosas accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds.
