Franco Pennacchiotti (205-C/F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Villa Mitre de Bahia Blanca, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Ciclista (#3, 2-2) 87-86. Villa Mitre maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Villa Mitre will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. It's Pennacchiotti's second year at Villa Mitre and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Franco Pennacchiotti has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.8ppg and leads league in rebounds with 16.8rpg. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Amicucci is a newcomer at Independiente, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Darry Moore (201-F-2001) of Estudiantes de Tucuman (#7). Moore scored 24 points. Despite Moore's great performance the Estudiantes T. lost 71-96 to the higher-ranked Amancay (#2, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Moore as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
