Garcia's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

28-year old swingman Agustina Garcia (173-F/G-1996, agency: BIG) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Riachuelo de La Rioja and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while her team edged out Gorriones (#4, 5-5) 59-56. It allowed Riachuelo to consolidate first place in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. Riachuelo has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Garcia had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Riachuelo's top player in her first season with the team. Garcia has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.7ppg), rebounds (5th best: 9.2rpg), assists (5th best: 3.1apg) and averages solid 2.6spg.

Second best performed player last round was Lorena Campos (171-G/F-1999) of Quimsa de Santiago del Estero. She is a swingman in her 8th season at Quimsa. In the last game Campos recorded an impressive 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Quimsa lost that game 49-62 to the higher-ranked Instituto (#2, 6-4). Quimsa managed to keep the same 5th spot in North. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Campos is one of the most experienced players at Quimsa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 5.0ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Candela Ruffino (184-F/G-1994) of Gorriones (#4). Ruffino scored 10 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Ruffino's great performance the Gorriones lost 56-59 to #1 ranked Riachuelo. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Ruffino has a great season in Argentina. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (6th best).
