Argentinian LaLiga Femenina round 13 best performance: Florencia Fernandez

International Center Florencia Fernandez (189-C-1986) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 38-year old player was the main contributor (14 points, six rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Obras (#6, 5-8) with 25-point margin 79-54. It allowed Ferro to consolidate first place in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. Ferro have a solid 12-2 record. It's Fernandez's second year at Ferro and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Florencia Fernandez has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 17.0rpg), assists (2nd best: 1.0apg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 54.5% FGP.

She also registered 6.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Marilina Banegas of Deportivo Chanares (#3). Banegas scored 21 points. Despite Banegas' great performance the Chanares lost 66-72 to #1 ranked Riachuelo. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Banegas has a great season in Argentina. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.2ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 6.7rpg (7th best).
