LaLiga Femenina Round 3 (Second Stage): El Talar lose to Berazategui

The most important game of round 3 took place in Buenos Aires where Berazategui edged El Talar (4-1) 55-53 on Monday night. Berazategui forced 19 El Talar turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Sofia Acevedo (167-2001) who led her team to a victory scoring 28 points. Guard Laila Raviolo (180-2000, agency: BIG) helped adding 8 points and 7 rebounds. Berazategui's coach Gonzalo Gomez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Luciana Delabarba (167-1997) with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Ferro defeated Obras in Buenos Aires 68-56. It was an exceptional evening for forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Florencia Fernandez accounted for 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). International Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds for Obras in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
Very important is a home loss of Lanus (0-4) against Rocamora (1-4) on Monday night. Host Lanus was defeated by Rocamora in Lanus 68-52. The best player for the winners was Lucia Juarez who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Martina Scian who recorded 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

In the last game of round 3 winless N.Avellaneda R. was destroyed by Union Florida on the opponent's court 92-49.

Lanus - Rocamora 52-68

Very important is a home loss of Lanus (0-4) against Rocamora (1-4) on Monday night. Host Lanus was defeated by Rocamora in Lanus 68-52. Rocamora forced 20 Lanus turnovers. The best player for the winners was Lucia Juarez who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Paula Santini (165-2006) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Martina Scian (170-2000) who recorded 13 points and Ayelen Boujon added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with N.Avellaneda R.'s (0-5) road loss to Union Florida (1-3) 49-92 on Monday. Union Florida dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to N.Avellaneda R.'s 22. Union Florida forced 25 N.Avellaneda R. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by N.Avellaneda R.'s players. The best player for the winners was Colombian guard Myriam Alonso (175-1992) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Giuliana Baccarelli (165-2004) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Union Florida players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Sofia Gonzalez (173, college: Tufts) who recorded 12 points and 4 assists and Pilar Saez added 14 points respectively.
