Acevedo's 34-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old point guard Sofia Acevedo (167-PG-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Deportivo de Berazategui Buenos Aires and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
She had the game-high 34 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Berazategui in her team's victory, helping them to beat Rocamora (#6, 1-3) 76-70. Berazategui maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Berazategui would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Acevedo had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Berazategui's top player in her first season with the team. Acevedo has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.8ppg) and averages solid 61.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Carla Miculka (174-F-1993) of Club Union Florida. She is international forward in her first season at Union Florida. In the last game Miculka recorded an impressive 20 points and 8 rebounds. It was enough for Union Florida to edge Obras (5-1) by 2 points 57-55. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Miculka is a newcomer at Union Florida and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Berazategui's star - guard Laila Raviolo (180-G-2000, agency: BIG). Raviolo scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Club Deportivo de Berazategui Buenos Aires, helping her team with a 76-70 win against Rocamora (#6, 1-3). Berazategui is closer and closer to top of the standings in South. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Raviolo has a great season in Argentina. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.6ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (3rd best).
