International Center Florencia Fernandez (189-C-1986) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 38-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 18 rebounds, while her team edged out Rocamora (#6, 1-3) 75-71. It allowed Ferro to take over top position in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. The season is still on an early stage, but Ferro already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Fernandez had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Ferro and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Florencia Fernandez has solid league stats.
