The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Obras (9-2) on the court of third ranked Union Florida on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Union Florida 66-63. Worth to mention a great performance of Sol Depetris (171-2007) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Florencia Chagas (180-2001) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Obras. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Union Florida (6-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place having just two point less than leader Obras. Obras at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Union Florida will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. A very close game took place in Florida between El Talar and Union Florida. Fourth ranked El Talar (5-3) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Union Florida (6-3). El Talar managed to escape with a 2-point win 62-60 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Union Florida. It was an exceptional evening for Natassja Kolff who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Sol Depetris came up with 23 points for Union Florida in the defeat. Union Florida's coach Nicolas Grosso tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for El Talar. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 5-3 record. Loser Union Florida keeps the third position with three games lost. El Talar will meet league's leader Obras in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Union Florida will have a break next round.
Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Rocamora beat Berazategui on the road 73-60. Gorriones lost to Instituto on its own court 60-68. Lanus unfortunately lost to Avellaneda in a road game 47-50.
