Carla Miculka claims Argentinian LaLiga Femenina weekly honour

Experienced International Forward Carla Miculka (174-F-1993) had a great game in the last round for Club Union Florida and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while her team edged out Berazategui (#5, 4-6) 69-68. Union Florida maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Union Florida will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Miculka turned to be Union Florida's top player in her first season with the team. Miculka has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.1ppg) and rebounds (8th best: 8.6rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Ornella Santelli of second-ranked Riachuelo de La Rioja. Santelli impressed basketball fans with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Of course she led Riachuelo to another comfortable win outscoring Montmartre (#6, 0-9) 104-18. This victory allowed Riachuelo to move up to second position in North. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Santelli is one of the most experienced players at Riachuelo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Laila Raviolo (180-G-2000, agency: BIG) of Club Deportivo de Berazategui Buenos Aires (#5). Raviolo scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Raviolo's great performance the Berazategui lost 68-69 to slightly higher-ranked Union Florida (#3, 7-3). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Berazategui ranking at the top of South, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Raviolo could help Berazategui to bring them higher in the standings. Raviolo has a great season in Argentina. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.1ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 9.9rpg (4th best).
