Moreira's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old Bolivian Romina Moreira (1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for Gorriones and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Montmartre (#6, 0-11) with 94-point margin 125-31. Gorriones maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gorriones will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Moreira as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Romina Moreira averages this season 9.7ppg and 7.9rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Marilina Banegas of Deportivo Chanares. She is a in her first season at Chanares. In the last game Banegas recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Of course she led Chanares to another comfortable win outscoring Montmartre (#6, 0-11) 101-39. Chanares' 5th position in North has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Banegas is a newcomer at Chanares and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Agustina Garcia (173-F/G-1996) of league's second-best Riachuelo de La Rioja. Garcia showcased her all-around game by recording 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Riachuelo, leading her team to a 90-55 easy win against the lower-ranked Chanares (#5, 3-5). Riachuelo is closer and closer to top of the standings in North. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Garcia has a very solid season. In 6 games in Argentina she scored 16.7ppg. She also has 6.2rpg, 2.2spg and a FGP of 53.8%.
