The most exciting game of round 13 in the LaLiga Femenina took place in Florida. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed El Talar (7-7) to third ranked Union Florida (9-5) 68-66 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of El Talar. Strangely El Talar outrebounded Union Florida 49-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Sol Depetris (171-2007) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Union Florida's coach Nicolas Grosso used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international guard Julieta Ale (176-1995) answered with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for El Talar. Union Florida maintains third place with 9-5 record having just five point less than leader Obras. Defending champion El Talar keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
An interesting game for Instituto (8-2) which played road game in Santiado del Estero against 4th placed Quimsa (5-4). First ranked Instituto managed to get a 5-point victory 68-63. The former international power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Maria Sagardoy chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Lorena Campos (171-1999) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Instituto maintains first place with 8-2 record. Quimsa at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost.
The game in James Craik was also quite interesting. Second ranked Riachuelo (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Chanares (3-7). Riachuelo managed to secure a 5-point victory 71-66 on Sunday. Agustina Garcia nailed 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Riachuelo's coach Pablo Rodrigo Pereyro allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Regina Carosio came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Chanares in the defeat. Riachuelo have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 6-1 record having five points less than leader Obras. Chanares lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost.
Other games in round 13 were not that significant. Rocamora was smashed by Ferro on the road 87-59. El Talar won against Avellaneda on its own court 81-63. Avellaneda was outscored by Berazategui in Buenos Aires 86-45.
