Botta's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Giselle Botta

25-year old power forward Giselle Botta (180-F/C-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Instituto de Cordoba and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
She had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat Quimsa (#4, 5-4) 68-63. It allowed Instituto to consolidate first place in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. Instituto have a solid 8-2 record. Botta turned to be Instituto's top player in her first season with the team. Botta has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 8.1rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Paula Santini (165-G-2006) of Tomas de Rocamora. She is a guard in her 4th season at Rocamora. In the last game Santini recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Rocamora lost that game 59-87 to the higher-ranked Ferro (#2, 11-2). Rocamora managed to keep the same 6th spot in South. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Rocamora managed to get this year. Santini is one of the most experienced players at Rocamora and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.0ppg (#4). She also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Agustina Garcia (173-F/G-1996) of league's second-best Riachuelo de La Rioja. Garcia scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Riachuelo, leading her team to a 71-66 win against the lower-ranked Chanares (#5, 3-7). Riachuelo is closer and closer to top of the standings in North. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Garcia has a very solid season. In 7 games in Argentina she scored 17.4ppg. She also has 6.6rpg, 2.1spg, a FGP of 56.8% and 3PT: 42.9%.
