Juan Boffelli claims Argentinian La Liga Argentina weekly honour

Juan Boffelli (197-F-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 28 points adding four rebounds and four assists for GELP in his team's victory, helping them to beat El Talar (#6, 5-9) 98-92. GELP maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. GELP will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Boffelli had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Juan Boffelli averages this season 10.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ecuadorian power forward Matias Nunez (202-F/C-1995) of Pergamino Basket. Nunez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Pergamino cruised to a 83-75 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked U.Mar del Plata (#7, 5-9). This victory allowed Pergamino to move up to 5th position in Conferencia Sur-B. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Nunez is a newcomer at Pergamino and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Lautaro Florito (188-SF-2000) of Atletico Gorriti de Jujuy (#4). Florito scored 26 points. He was a key player of Jujuy, leading his team to a 94-86 win against slightly lower-ranked Comunicaciones (#5, 7-7). Jujuy needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Conferencia Norte-B. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 6 lost games. Florito has a very solid season. In 14 games in Argentina he scored 12.6ppg. He also has a FGP of 63.9% and 3PT: 42.9%.
