Argentinian LDD round 35 best performance: Fabricio Diaz (by Hoops Agents)

Center Fabricio Diaz (205-C-2006) had a very impressive game in the last round for Riachuelo de La Rioja, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 35.
The 18-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Obera (#7, 17-8) 86-81. Riachuelo maintains the 6th position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Riachuelo will need more victories to improve their 17-6 record. Diaz turned to be Riachuelo's top player in his first season with the team. Fabricio Diaz has solid league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 11.1rpg. Diaz is in league's top in and averages impressive 66.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Tomas Delia of Zarate Basket U22 team. Delia had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Zarate to edge slightly lower-ranked Gimnasia (#19, 4-21) 76-73. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Zarate keeps 17th position. 18 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Zarate managed to get this year. Delia is a newcomer at Zarate, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-F-2004) of Club Atletico Platense Florida (#5). Mazzucchelli showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Platense, leading his team to a 87-74 easy win against the lower-ranked San Martin (#16, 7-20). Platense needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 9 lost games. Mazzucchelli has a great season in Argentina. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (7th best).
