Argentinian La Liga round 34 best performance: Tavario Miller (by Hoops Agents)

Bahamas Center Tavario Miller (203-C-1994) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Quimsa Santiago del Estero, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 34.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Obras (#5, 19-12) with 24-point margin 96-72. Quimsa maintains the 2nd position in Argentinian La Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quimsa will need more victories to improve their 22-10 record. In the team's last game Miller had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Tavario Miller averages this season 11.0ppg and 6.3rpg. Worth to mention Miller played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young Patricio Tabarez (195-F-1991) of Independiente de Oliva. Tabarez had a very good evening with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Independ.O. lost that game 91-96 to the lower-ranked Zarate (#19, 9-22). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Independ.O. keeps 16th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-20 record. Tabarez is a newcomer at Independ.O., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 4.9rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Uruguayan guard Martin Trelles (187-G-1996) of Zarate Basket Independiente (#19). Trelles showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Zarate, leading his team to a 96-91 win against the higher-ranked Independ.O. (#16, 12-20). Zarate can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 9-22 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Trelles has a very solid season. In 12 games in Argentina he scored 9.7ppg.
