Sixth-ranked Obera (23-13) made lots of trouble for first ranked Independ.O. (32-6) in Olivia on Thursday. Independ.O. managed to secure only one-point victory 86-85. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Ecuadorian forward Carlos Hurtado (212-2006) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Jorge Garcia (200-2003) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Independ.O.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. A very close game took place in Buenos Aires between Ferro and Riachuelo. Ninth ranked Ferro (22-14) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Riachuelo (26-10). Ferro managed to escape with a 2-point win 70-68 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Riachuelo LR. Juan Ryzwaniuk stepped up and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Ferro's coach Jonathan Laino allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Fabricio Diaz with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds. Ferro have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser Riachuelo LR keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Ferro will meet San Lorenzo (#12) in the next round.
