Santino Mazzucchelli claims Argentinian LDD Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Santino Mazzucchelli (196-F-2004) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Atletico Platense Florida and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 45.
The 20-year old forward had the game-high 28 points adding eight rebounds for Platense in his team's victory, helping them to beat Zarate (#16, 9-27) 88-75. Platense is placed at 4th position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Platense will need more victories to improve their 27-11 record. In the team's last game Mazzucchelli had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Platense and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Mazzucchelli has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 18.4ppg) and averages solid 60.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Fabricio Diaz (205-C-2006) of Riachuelo de La Rioja. Diaz impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 20 rebounds. Of course he led Riachuelo to another comfortable win 85-70 over the lower-ranked Quimsa (#20, 6-32) being unquestionably team leader. Riachuelo's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 26-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Diaz is a newcomer at Riachuelo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Matias Pikaluk (188-G-2006) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero (#20). Pikaluk got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds and five assists. Despite Pikaluk's great performance the Quimsa lost 70-85 to the higher-ranked Riachuelo LR (#5, 26-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Quimsa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 6-32 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Pikaluk has a very solid season. In 36 games in Argentina he scored 17.8ppg.

10. Luciano Tundis) of Olimpico - 26 points and 5 rebounds
