Real Canoe adds Santana to their roster

Ornella Santana

Sernova Renovables Real Canoe Madrid (LF Challenge) added experienced 34-year-old Argentinian ex-international power forward Ornella Santana (183cm-1990) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. She played last season at Club Deportivo La Salle Melilla. In 31 LF Challenge games in Spain, she recorded just 2.9ppg and 3.3rpg.
She was also a member of the Argentinian international program for some years. Santana played for the Argentinian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2019 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2009.
She has played also in Brazil, Spain (Zamora, Almeria, Genero, and Granada), and Argentina (Velez, Berazategui, Capital, and Estrella Berisso).
In addition to many awards, she played in the final of the Spanish LF Challenge Playoff in 2022. Santana was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Clausura Forward of the Year in 2019.
