Obras Basket Buenos Aires (La Liga) signed 28-year-old American 201cm forward Andrew Corum (college: Virginia State) for the upcoming season. He was the best rebounder at Club Deportes Puerto Varas in the Chilean LNB league last season, averaging 14.3ppg, 9.2rpg, 2.3apg, and 1.4spg in 38 games. He helped them reach the semifinals and was voted League Player of the Week, as well as selected to the Latinbasket.com All-Chilean League Second Team. In the previous (2023-24) season, he played for BK Ogre (LBL) in the Latvian league. Corum also played 2 games in the Latvian LBL, averaging 7.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.0apg, 1.5spg, and 1.0bpg that year.
He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Azerbaijan (Absheron), Latvia, and Portugal (Vasco da Gama).
He played in the final of Portuguese 1 Divisao in 2022, winning several awards during his career. Among them are the Eurobasket.com All-Azerbaijani League Player of the Year award and the Eurobasket.com All-Azerbaijani League Import Player of the Year award in 2023.
Corum graduated from Virginia State in 2020 and it'll be his sixth season in pro basketball.
