Quimsa Santiago del Estero (La Liga) added experienced 36-year-old American center Jerome Meyinsse (208cm-104kg-1988, college: Virginia) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. He played last season at I.Ness Ziona in the Israeli Winner League, where he averaged 8.1ppg and 4.5rpg in 13 games. During the previous (2024) summer, he played for Mets (BSN) in the Puerto Rican league.
He is a quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America) in seven different countries. Meyinsse has played professionally in Brazil (Flamengo), Israel, Japan (89ers), Mexico (Aaguacateros), Puerto Rico, Venezuela (Trotamundos), and Argentina (Atenas, Regatas, Sionista, Sportivo 9 de Julio Rio Tercero, and San Lorenzo).
He was voted to Eurobasket.com Israeli League All-Imports Team in 2024. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Quimsa.
He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010 and it'll be his 16th (!!!) season as a pro player.
