International Point guard Luciana Delabarba (167-PG-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked El Talar, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while her team edged out Ferro (3-1) 81-78. It allowed El Talar to take over top position in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. El Talar has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. It's Delabarba's second year at El Talar and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Luciana Delabarba has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.8ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was Maria Bazan of league's leader Hindu Club de Resistencia. Bazan had a very good evening with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Hindu to another comfortable win outscoring Gorriones (1-4) 61-37. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Bazan is a newcomer at Hindu, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Mexican forward Diana Armas (185-F-1993) of Instituto de Cordoba (#3). Armas scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Instituto, leading her team to a 53-49 win against Gorriones (#7, 1-4). Instituto is closer and closer to top of the standings in North. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Armas has a great season in Argentina. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (5th best).

9. Regina Carosio (165-PG-1986) of Chanares - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Giselle Botta (180-F/C-1999) of Instituto - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
