The game had a very big importance for second-ranked El Talar as it allowed them to take a leadership position. El Talar defeated 9th ranked Lanus in Caba 77-66. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when El Talar made 8 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Lanus helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard Luciana Delabarba (167-1997) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Julieta Ale (176-1995) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. El Talar (5-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Obras. Lanus at the other side keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Lanus will play next round against strong Ferro trying to get back on the winning streak. El Talar will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked El Bigua on the road.

The best player for the winners was Rocio Iturre who scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Lucia Ballari who recorded 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Riachuelo. Bochas lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Quimsa will meet at home Riachuelo (#8) in the next round. Bochas will play against Gorriones and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 6 Riachuelo lost to San Jose on the opponent's court 58-71. Gorriones managed to outperform Quimsa in a home game 73-64.

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Riachuelo (2-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked San Jose (4-2) 71-58 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American guard Ashia McCalla (170-2000, college: UMBC, agency: Interperformances) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. McCalla is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
