Fabricio Gomez claims Argentinian LDD Hoops Agents weekly honour

Fabricio Gomez put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Union de Santa Fe U22 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The had the game-high 18 points adding eight rebounds for Union in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Platense (#11, 2-2) 94-93. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Union is placed at 14th position in Argentinian LDD. Union is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. Gomez has many years of experience at Union, through which he has constantly improved. Fabricio Gomez averages this season 8.3ppg and 5.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-F-2004) of Club Atletico Platense Florida. Mazzucchelli impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Platense was edged by the lower-ranked Union (#14, 2-4) 94-93. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Platense keeps 11th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. The third best performed player last round was Tiago Tomatis of Atenas Cordoba (#18). Tomatis scored 24 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Tomatis' great performance the Atenas lost 71-83 to the higher-ranked Gimnasia (#6, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tomatis has individually a great season in Argentina. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.2ppg (best scorer).
