The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Ciclista in Armstrong on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by Dep Norte 69-61. Point guard Manuel Alonso (195-1999, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. contributed with 13 points for the winners. Valentin Costa (182-1999, agency: BIG) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds for Ciclista. Ciclista's coach Julian Pagura rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
Very important is a road loss of Las Heras against San Isidro on Tuesday night. Visiting Las Heras was defeated by San Isidro in San Francisco 104-93. The former international swingman Julian Eydallin (195-2000) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nahuel Buchaillot chipped in 15 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. San Isidro's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Italian guard Benjamin Marchiaro (194-2004) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds.
Very important is a road loss of GELP against Quilmes on Tuesday night. Visiting GELP was defeated by Quilmes in Mar del Plata 83-71. Darry Moore notched 24 points to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds by Joan Gutierrez did not help to save the game for GELP. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Dep Viedma lost to undefeated La Union on the road 59-74. Winless Colon lost to undefeated Salta Basket on its own court 75-78. Winless El Talar lost to undefeated Racing A. in Buenos Aires 81-86. Estudiantes T. managed to beat Jujuy at home 73-70. Winless Centenario VT lost to undefeated Pergamino on the opponent's court 88-96. Winless Barrio Parque lost to undefeated Amancay in a home game 75-76. Salta Basket won against Santa Paula on the road 96-91. Winless Rocamora unfortunately lost to Dep Viedma on its own court 76-82. Provincial managed to beat U.Mar del Plata in Rosario 84-80.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 22 points and 8 rebounds by Abraham Barahona of Provincial.



La Union - Dep Viedma 74-59

No shocking result in a game when La Union beat Dep Viedma in Colon 74-59 on Monday. La Union forced 26 Dep Viedma turnovers. Nicolas Henriques notched 19 points to lead the effort and guard Matias Caire (188-1999) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by Venezuelan center Keiver Marcano (205-2003) did not help to save the game for Dep Viedma. point guard Nahuel Buchaillot (178-2000) added 9 points and 4 assists for the guests.
