Argentinian La Liga Argentina round 2 best performance: Juan Martin Bello (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Juan Martin Bello (200-F-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pergamino Basket, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, two rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Centenario VT (#13, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 96-88. Pergamino is placed at 4th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Pergamino won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Bello had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He turned to be Pergamino's top player in his first season with the team. Juan Martin Bello has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 27.0ppg), assists (7th best: 6.0apg) and averages impressive 66.7% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Cuban Joan Gutierrez (192-SF-2003) of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. Gutierrez had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as GELP lost that game 71-83 to Quilmes (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Gutierrez is a newcomer at GELP, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Lucio Castellani (196-F-1994) of Centenario de Venado Tuerto (#13). Castellani showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Castellani's great performance the Centenario VT lost 88-96 to Pergamino (#4, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Castellani as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

9. Franco Maeso (197-F-2000) of Rocamora - 14 points and 10 rebounds
10. Matias Carneglia (200-F-2002) of U.Mar del Plata - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
