Argentinian La Liga round 11 best performance: Francisco Caffaro

International Center Francisco Caffaro (216-C-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Boca Juniors Buenos Aires, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Gimnasia (#14, 3-5) 82-70. Boca Juniors maintains the 2nd position in Argentinian La Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Boca Juniors will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. Caffaro turned to be Boca Juniors' top player in his first season with the team. Former Santa Clara University star has very solid stats this year. Caffaro is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.0ppg) and averages impressive 62.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Venezuelan Anyelo Cisneros (200-F-1997) of Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia. Cisneros had a very good evening with 28 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Gimnasia lost that game 70-82 to the higher-ranked Boca Juniors (#2, 6-4). Despite lost game Gimnasia moved up to 14th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Cisneros is well-known at Gimnasia and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Brandon Beavers (188-G-2001) of La Union Formosa (#3). Beavers showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Beavers' great performance the La Union lost 87-91 to slightly lower-ranked Independ.O. (#5, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing La Union needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Beavers has a great season in Argentina. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.2apg (9th best).
