Niz's 25 points give her Player of the Week award

20-year old point guard Melina Niz (165-PG-2005, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for Hindu Club de Resistencia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had the game-high 25 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Hindu in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Bochas (#9, 1-12) with 29-point margin 78-49. Hindu maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hindu will need more victories to improve their 9-4 record. Niz turned to be Hindu's top player in her first season with the team. Melina Niz averages this season 16.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Lucia Pispieiro of Gorriones. She is a in her 2nd season at Gorriones. In the last game Pispieiro recorded an impressive 22 points and 3 rebounds. It was enough for Gorriones to edge slightly higher-ranked Hindu (#3, 9-4) by 4 points 57-53. Gorriones' 5th position in North has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Pispieiro is well-known at Gorriones and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Julieta Sienra (161-PG-2003) of league's leader Instituto de Cordoba. Sienra showcased her all-around game by recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Instituto, leading her team to a 87-55 easy win against the lower-ranked Bochas (#9, 1-12). Instituto confirms their top position in North. Sienra has a great season in Argentina. After 11 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (best passer).
