Vorhees' 22 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

30-year old American forward Will Vorhees (203-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Obera Tennis Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 22 points adding eight rebounds for Obera in his team's victory, helping them to crush Olimpico (#17, 3-7) with 24-point margin 86-62. Obera is placed at 6th position in Argentinian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Obera will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Vorhees had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Obera's top player in his first season with the team. Notre Dame College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Vorhees is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.1ppg) and averages solid 61.2% FGP. Worth to mention Vorhees played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Dana Tate Jr. (201-F-1999, agency: WP Sports Agency) of Argentino Junin. He is American forward in his first season at Argentino. In the last game Tate Jr. recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Argentino lost that game 80-92 to the higher-ranked Platense (#15, 3-3). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Argentino is still at the dead bottom 19th position. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Argentino managed to get this year. Tate Jr. is a newcomer at Argentino and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Francisco Caffaro (216-C-2000) of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires (#5). Caffaro scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Caffaro's great performance the Boca Juniors lost 74-81 to the lower-ranked Regatas (#9, 5-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Boca Juniors needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 5 lost games. Caffaro has a great season in Argentina. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.4rpg (#1 in league).
