Edwin Niebles claims Argentinian LDD Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Colombian Edwin Niebles (178-PG-2005) had a great game in the last round for Obera Tennis Club and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 20-year old playmaker had a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Platense (#7, 6-3) with 21-point margin 90-69. Obera is placed at 12th position in Argentinian LDD. Obera is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. Niebles has many years of experience at Obera, through which he has constantly improved. Niebles has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 68.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Colombian center Juan Madrigal (205-C-2004) of second-ranked Obras Basket Buenos Aires. Madrigal impressed basketball fans with 8 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Obras to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Atenas (#18, 3-10) 77-37. Obras' second position in the standings has not changed. His team belongs to top of the standings with 10-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Madrigal is one of the most experienced players at Obras and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Jose Copesky (184-PG-2006) of Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia (#5). Copesky scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Copesky's great performance the Gimnasia lost 75-76 to the lower-ranked Argentino (#13, 4-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Gimnasia needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Copesky has a great season in Argentina. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (8th best). He also has 2.9spg and a FGP of 61.8%.
