Emiliano Toretta claims Argentinian La Liga Hoops Agents weekly honour

Emiliano Toretta (185-G-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 24 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Gimnasia in his team's victory, helping them to beat Argentino (#19, 1-10) 79-64. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Gimnasia moved-up to the 11th position in Argentinian La Liga. Gimnasia is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game Toretta had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He has many years of experience at Gimnasia, through which he has constantly improved. Emiliano Toretta averages this season 11.6ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Nakye Sanders (202-F-1997) of Atenas Cordoba. Sanders impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Atenas lost that game 74-80 to the higher-ranked Obras (#4, 7-4). This loss caused Atenas to drop to 16th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-9 record. Sanders is well-known by Atenas fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Chris Vogt (213-C-1999, agency: Haylett Sports) of Union de Santa Fe (#14). Vogt scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Vogt's great performance the Union lost 63-82 to the higher-ranked Penarol (#5, 7-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Union ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Vogt could help Union SF to bring them higher in the standings. Vogt has a very solid season. In 10 games in Argentina he scored 9.0ppg. He also has 6.4rpg and a FGP of 64.3%.
