Argentinian LaLiga Femenina round 18 best performance: Dalma Piri

Shooting guard Dalma Piri (175-SG-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat Rocamora (#6, 6-8) 78-67. Ferro maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ferro will need more victories to improve their 10-3 record. In the team's last game Piri had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Ferro, through which she has constantly improved. Dalma Piri averages this season 13.2ppg and 5.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian center Malvina D'Agostino (184-C-2001) of Hindu Club de Resistencia. D'Agostino had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Hindu was edged by slightly higher-ranked Instituto (#1, 14-2) 58-56. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Luciana Delabarba (167-PG-1997) of league's top team El Talar. Delabarba scored 22 points. She was a key player of El Talar, leading her team to a 83-61 easy win against #4 ranked Berazategui. Many experts and fans count El Talar as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 13 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings in South. Delabarba has a great season in Argentina. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.7ppg (2nd best).
