Stefania Lucero claims Argentinian LaLiga Femenina Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced Stefania Lucero (172-F-1993, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Deportivo Chanares and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 32-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Chanares in her team's victory, helping them to beat Bochas (#9, 1-15) 73-58. Chanares maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chanares will need more victories to improve their 12-4 record. In the team's last game Lucero had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Chanares' top player in her first season with the team. Lucero has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.4ppg. Lucero is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 2.8spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Jacqueline Soto (1997, agency: BIG) of Gorriones. Soto impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Gorriones lost that game 69-80 to slightly higher-ranked Avellaneda (#5, 6-7). Gorriones managed to keep the same 6th spot in North. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-9 record. Soto is a newcomer at Gorriones and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.3ppg (#4). She also registered 9.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international Candela Gentinetta (181-SF-2001) of second-ranked Obras Basket Buenos Aires. Gentinetta scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was a key player of Obras, leading her team to a 76-54 easy win against the lower-ranked Lanus (#9, 2-12). Obras is closer and closer to top of the standings in South. They will still need more victories. But 12-3 record is not that bad... Gentinetta has a very solid season. In 15 games in Argentina she scored 10.3ppg. She also has 8.1rpg and a FGP of 50.6%.
