Lucero's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old forward Stefania Lucero (172-F-1993, agency: BIG) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Deportivo Chanares and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
She had a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Gorriones (#5, 7-9) 75-62. Chanares maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chanares will need more victories to improve their 12-4 record. Lucero turned to be Chanares' top player in her first season with the team. Lucero has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.4ppg. Lucero is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 2.8spg.

Second best performed player last round was Aguehil Fajardo (183-PF-1999) of top-ranked El Talar. She is Venezuelan forward in her first season at El Talar. In the last game Fajardo recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds. Of course El Talar cruised to a 74-63 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Union Florida (#6, 6-10). Of course El Talar still keep South's top spot. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 14-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Fajardo is a newcomer at El Talar and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Camila Peri (182-F/C-2000) of Atletico Lanus (#9). Peri scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Peri's great performance the Lanus lost 49-63 to the higher-ranked Berazategui (#4, 9-7). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Lanus can only dream about fighting for top spots in South. They have rather bad season and 2-13 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Peri has a very solid season. In 15 games in Argentina she scored 9.2ppg. She also has 5.7rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 51.0%.
