Uruguayan Guard Joaquina Gregorio (168-G-2001, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Gorriones, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Avellaneda (#7, 6-9) with 26-point margin 73-47. Gorriones is placed at 5th position in Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. Gorriones is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-9 record. In the team's last game Gregorio had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Gorriones' top player in her first season with the team. Joaquina Gregorio averages this season 13.8ppg and 5.2rpg.

Despite Laviero's great performance the Union Florida lost 62-85 to the higher-ranked Ferro (#3, 11-3). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Union Florida not to end season at such low position in South, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Laviero could try to bring Union Florida's a little bit higher in the standings. Laviero has a very solid season. In 14 games in Argentina she scored 6.0ppg.
