Gusmao's double-double lands him La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award

30-year old Brazilian center Romulo Gusmao (208-C-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Atletico Villa San Martin and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Hindu (#14, 2-5) with 18-point margin 84-66. Villa S.Martin is placed at 4th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Villa S.Martin will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. Despite Pennacchiotti's great performance the Villa Mitre lost 89-94 to the higher-ranked GELP (#3, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Villa Mitre ranking at the top of Conferencia Sur, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Pennacchiotti could help Villa Mitre to bring them higher in the standings. Pennacchiotti has a great season in Argentina. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.6rpg (3rd best).
