Argentinian La Liga Argentina round 17 best performance: Emanual Shepherd (by Hoops Agents)

Canadian Power forward Emanual Shepherd (203-F/C-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pergamino Basket, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Rocamora (#16, 2-6) 84-79. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Conferencia Sur. Pergamino is placed at 13th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Pergamino is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. Shepherd turned to be Pergamino's top player in his first season with the team. Emanual Shepherd averages this season 14.8ppg and 8.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Juan Luis Abeiro (200-C/F-1988) of Fusion Riojana. Abeiro had a very good evening with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Riojana was edged by the higher-ranked Barrio Parque (#9, 4-4) 93-92. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in Conferencia Norte. Riojana dropped in the standings to 16th position. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Riojana managed to get this year. Abeiro is a newcomer at Riojana, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.4ppg (#4). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Latraius Mosley (198-G-1990) of Pico Football Club de General Pico (#5). Mosley scored 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Pico FC, leading his team to a 88-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Racing A. (#8, 5-5). Pico FC needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Conferencia Sur. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Mosley has a very solid season. In 7 games in Argentina he scored 13.1ppg.
